For twenty years, Instituto Jovel has been offering quality language classes to visitors and residents of San Cristóbal de las Casas in Chiapas, Mexico. Our purpose is to provide learning experiences that meet the individual learning goals of our students and offer them an opportunity for a positive intercultural experience.

Learn Conveniently located in the heart of downtown, we have classes for all levels in Spanish, French, English and Totzil Mayan. Individual and group classes are offered all year round. For working professionals, we offer specialized classes focusing on vocabulary of specific fields of work such as healthcare, legal or business.

Experience Immerse yourself in Chiapas and the communities around San Cristóbal by attending our cultural workshops or accompany us on excursions to Maya villages, archeological sites and beautiful nature reserves.
