Huitepec, natural ecological reserve
The Huitepec is a 135 hectare reserve whose mission is to rescue a small part of one of the world’s most threatened ecosystems, the cloud forest. The reserve is situated on the eastern side of a 10 million-year-old volcano at a 5 km distance from San Cristobal and has a beautiful 2km trail that winds up, around and down the volcano through the cloud forest.
